A Distinct Lack of news and updates....

As you have probably noticed there has been very little news on the band in the last few months. This is not because we have given up, but unfortunately we are still trying to find ourselves a new drummer. Things with Elliot did not work out so we are once again back where we were in August of last year. As you can probably imagine this is a very frustrating situation for us as our intentions after recording last year were to get out, promote ourselves and play to as many people and in as many places as possible. This obviously could not be the case without a drummer and has left us in a pretty crap situation.

However, fear not! We now have people lined up sp we will have ourselves back on track very soon and chances are, we will be playing somewhere near you! So be sure to keep an eye out for us! We hope to see you all as very soon and would like to thank you all for your continuing support despite a lack of anything particularly happening.

On a slightly more positive note our CD will be available to buy very soon! Be sure to check back.

Cheers

October 28th 2006 ::

InVersion played a very short notice gig last night at The Fat Surfer. Apologies to people who would have liked to have seen us but we literally found out at 7pm and played at 10pm! However, a big thanks goes out to all those who were there and showed their support and thanks to the crew and Soundman Jim who, as always, were very helpful and accommodating.

The gig also marked a new era for InVersion. This was new drummer, Elliot's first gig with us, and he put in a great performance despite having very few practices with us. So well done!

Lastly, we should have some more gigs booked in the very near future so be sure to keep checking back.

Hopefully see you soon!

July 1st 2006 ::

We would like to thank everyone who turned up at Chinnerys on Friday and showed their support for us. It was an enjoyable gig, but was also a gig that marked the end of a very long chapter for InVersion. The line-up had remained intact for well over two years, but unfortunately it came to a close last Friday. Rob put in a great final performance which was an appropriate reflection of all the hard work and effort that has been put in since he joined in 2002. Again. we would like to wish him all the best in whatever he chooses to do.

There are some pictures from Chinnerys and from our gig at The Dome available [here]

In other news, our demo should be available to hear on our [Myspace] early next week and samples will be available to listen in the [music] section of the site very soon.

There are currently no gigs lined-up and when we next play will obviously depend on how soon we can find a suitable drummer. We hope the wait will not be too long though and hope to see you very soon.

June 23rd 2006 ::

InVersion have parted ways with long term band member and good friend Rob Martin. It was an unfortunate decision and it was not one that was reached lightly. Rob will be playing his last gig with us next Friday at Chinnerys (Southend) and after that we will begin the search for a new drummer. We wish him all the best with whatever he decides to do and we hope you will all come down on Friday to show your support.

If you are interested in drumming for us then please contact us on [inversionband@hotmail.com]

STUDIO UPDATE:

Almost there! We have heard the rough mixes of the songs and all going well the final version should be ready by the end of June. Be sure to keep checking back!

May 4th 2006 ::

STUDIO UPDATE:

Our new CD should be finished by the end of May/early June. Unfortunately it is slightly later than originally expected but we have encountered a couple of problems in the process. We are having to re-record the drums which will involve quite a few hours of additional work and obviously the final mixing and mastering cannot be completed until this has been done. It will be worth the wait though! More information will be available on here as and when we have it, so be sure to check back.

March 26th 2006 ::

Our gig originally scheduled for the 9th April has changed date. We will now be playing on the 23rd April at a Metal Showcase Night. It is still at The Dome in Tufnell Park and ticket prices will still be the same at £5 in advance or around £6 to £7 on the door. More information can be found in the [live] section of the site.

STUDIO UPDATE:

The recording process has gone well and all the songs have really started to take shape. They are already sounding better than anything we've recorded before and we are looking forward to hearing the final product.  It should be fully mixed and mastered in the next 6 weeks or so. We will keep you updated.

February 20th 2006 ::

Apologies to anyone who tuned in at 1:00pm to hear our live recordings on Phoenix Fm. It appears they made some sort of mistake and played a previous show instead of the one we featured on. The correct show then went out on air at 6:00pm which obviously many of you would probably not have been aware of. However, the show will be repeated again tomorrow, beginning at 1:00pm and we should be on sometime after 2:00pm.

February 6th 2006 ::

We will be beginning the recording of our next CD on the 20th February. This will be a 4 track mini CD which is most likely to contain a re-recording of Scared of Nothing and 3 new tracks. More information will be available soon.

Our live tracks that we recorded for Phoenix FM will be going out on air on the 20th February. If you live in the Brentwood/Billericay area you can tune in on 87.7fm. Alternatively you can listen over the net via [http://bluedog.wavestreamer.com:5478/listen.pls] It will open in QuickTime by pasting the address in the open url bar and in I Tunes in the open stream bar. It also plays in Real Player, Win Amp and any other good media player. The show begins at 1:00pm. Enjoy!

January 11th 2006 ::

Our gig, originally scheduled for the 10th February has been moved to the 9th February. It has also moved venue and is now being held at the Castlemayne in Basildon.

January 9th 2006 ::

Unfortunately our gig on the 10th February has been cancelled. After the pilot night held last Friday the promoter has decided that the venue is not suitable for the event to continue. A full explanation issued by the promoter can be found [here]

January 1st 2006 ::

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Pictures from our gig at Chinnerys and our gig at The Mill are now available [here]

We are recording a couple of songs this Saturday for local radio station, Phoenix FM. They will be totally live takes and, all going well, should be going out on air sometime in January/February.
